Microsoft continues to dominate

For the last 15 years Microsoft has been named by Gartner® as one of three Leaders in their Magic Quadrant ™ for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms.

Gartner’s recently released report also positions Microsoft furthest to the right for Completeness of Vision and highest in Ability to Execute.

The report discusses the trends in ABI platforms and the importance of relevant data in the context of the user’s goals, their workflow and the actions needed based on the data obtained. Delivering an impactful experience to the client is an ongoing trend and a consideration integrated into Microsoft’s suite of products (and which they continue to focus on). The report states that Microsoft has a “visionary product roadmap” and further, that “Microsoft’s vision is to make Power BI the hub for data and analytics in an organization.”

Cloud data and analytics continue to drive spending and Microsoft dominates the market in terms of user adoption. The integration of Power BI with Microsoft Teams has become a valuable business tool in this age of remote working teams and Microsoft have recently introduced a number of features to further customise, extend and embed automatic aggregations and data flows.
