BoomData are seeking a Principal Consultant – Reporting & Analytics to join our team in Sydney. Reporting directly to the Executive Director of BoomData, this permanent, full-time role will provide business & technical leadership in the scoping, design and delivery of Power BI Reporting & Analytics solutions to ensure the technical solution is robust, of high quality and fit-for-purpose.
We’re looking for a senior Microsoft Power BI, data & analytics practitioner who is seeking a role where they can directly contribute to shape the growth of the business. The Principal Consultant – Reporting & Analytics will not only be responsible to design & deliver Microsoft Power BI dashboard and reporting solutions for mid to large sized enterprises, but also provide leadership to other consultants in this area, while working alongside the Executive Director to provide pre-sales support for the function.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified in business and / or IT with at least 10 year’s data & BI experience
- Microsoft certified Professional in Power BI & Azure Data Platform
- Strong business acumen and understanding of business processes with the ability to sit in the seat of the user and engage at a business level conversation with ease
- Extensive technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting enterprise dashboard & reporting solutions
- An eye for detail & design. Possessing strong UI / report and dashboard design experience
- Extensive experience with all aspects of reporting and dashboard tools especially Power BI, including DAX, Data Model Development etc
- Abililty to lead and mentor other less senior developers that will assist to build the Power BI reports and dashboards
- Strong project management & pre-sales experience
